Front shroud badge

All this chat and pics about shroud badges is good ...However is anyone able to answer my original question and confirm that the one offered by Victoria British is of good quality ?

That is a loaded question so I do not go there----:angel2:

Nothing loaded about it at all . All I need is confirmation from someone who has bought one from them recently to say yes it's good or no it's junk and a pic would be helpful .....what's loaded about that or can you just not resist replying to every post on here ?

Can't answer definitively, but I'd wager the VB badge is the same as Moss' and AH Spares'. Looking at BigGreen's slideshow, I'm pretty much convinced the original badge had the 'narrower' lettering and later repops have what I call the 'flat top' lettering. The distinguishing characteristic is the pointed 'tail' on the '3;' note on the 'flat tops' it's squared off. This is consistent with the original--AFAIK--unpainted, narrow-lettered badge that was on my BJ8 when I bought it.

My guess is there's one small shop--probably in England--that makes all the new badges.

Well I decided to go for the VB repro and here it is .
Judge for yourselves . I think it should be a slightly deeper red colour also the enamel, cloisonné , champleve ( let's not get that started again) is not smooth it's rippled which you can see in the pic .
Anyways it's good enough for me it's going on the car later .
Also FWIW the packaging said "Made in " ...............Germany of all places .
