front shock installation help

79 midget/ I just replaced the front right shock with a rebuild from World Auto part. My problem is the pair of rubber bushings that are sandwiched against the lever arm of the shock. I can't figure out how to remove them for replacement. I can't get the bolt out that holds them in. It turns, but I cannot backit off.
Help!
 
That bolt at the outer end of the shock arm is connected to the trunon. The rubber parts go inside with an ear outwards.

Heat em up and knock the bolt out.
 
OK. With floor jack under the spring pan and a little compression you can work on the trunion assembly. Trunion has a big bolt with castellated nut and cotter pin at the other end. The bolt routes though two rubber bushings with metal sleeves. There is a pinch bolt located at the end of the shock arm that holds it in too.

Soak it all in PB Blaster. Remove the pinch bolt, the cotter pin and castellated nut. The big bolt probably won't come out pushing it by hand so you'll need to persuade it with a hammer. It's possible the metal sleeves in the bushings have siezed onto the bolt. Mine did.
