I am looking for advise on reupholstering my front seats in my 1959 TR3. I purchased a vinyl seat kit from TRF quite a few years ago and then bought the "original" horse hair padding kit a couple of years ago and then more recently my wife bought me seat heater kit that she thinks will be nice little addition. My questions are pertaining to the best way to go about getting the seats completed after more than 10 years of thinking about it?
Does anyone have any experience or advise on using the seat heaters and reupholstering kits. I did the conversion to an alternator as required, the design of the seat heater system allows for them to be installed under the seat upholstery or under a seat cover, is one way better than the other? The seat springs I have are the originals should I consider replacing them or just go with them even though they are a bit rusty and been around a long time? I am leaning towards taking everything to an upholstering shop, any thoughts on this are appreciated!
