front seat base

I'm refitting the seat pans into their frames on my longbridge BN4. at the back of the frame there are three little foldover tabs - either to support the seat back in the up position or to support the base, or both. My bases will fit inside these tabs (i.e. down into the on-the-base position with a bit of a shove but I'm wondering whether they're maybe meant to sit up on them instead? this would make the seat-base-to-seat-back line a lot neater but the bases seem to want to fit all the way in and down onto the pand. any clues anyone? (can take a photo if this sounds like gibberish!)

Thanks

JOHN

Hi John,
Welcome to the forum.

There "may" have been rubber cushions over the tabs. The tabs are intended to support the seat back in the up position. The early LB models had a number of "differences" from the other cars, especially in the trim details. There may be some details here:

The base should fit all of the way down, not on the tabs.

I think PATTON Dickson has a Longbridge car & has likely had direct experience with this part. Maybe he will join the discussion?

Hi, the base definitely goes all the way in, not over the tabs. Good luck with your longbridge!
