Simon, The front bracket is a very simple affair. It's part # 61 on pg 70 of Moss' latest catalogue. It's really just a 2" to 3" piece of steel. Bracket

Actually, two pieces and the support...plus the bolts, washers, lockwashers, and nuts. I bought the assembly years ago and never put it on, as I don;t need to do so, but wanted to display a cute little plate my wife bought me.
Make me an offer...cute little plate not included!
Thanks Bruce, but I already ordered the brackets from Moss - figuring on using bolts etc from stock on hand (or Home Depot if that didn't work out). if anything goes wrong with my plan, I will be in touch.
Doesn't look so pretty, but this is the plate that came with the car when new. I bought the car 25 years ago from the original owner and they had a front tag on it. I don't know if it was dealer installed or not.
I found the plate and it looks like it was made specifically for the MGB front chrome bumper as the holes are the proper width along with being recessed and angled to match the curve in the bumper exactly. I would assume it would be essential on a concourse car with a front tag. I'm sure there's more out there.
That would explain why the brackets I ordered from Moss seem to have the wrong angle bent into them. I "cheaped out" on ordering the plate but now it looks like I will need it.
