Front Brake squeal

I am getting some front brake squeal. It doesn't do it when its cool outside, only when its hot. I was wondering if those anti-squeal strips will cure this. By the way they are new semi-metallic pads with less than 500 miles on them. Thanks

Jerrybny, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif, reportedly the "Anti Squeal Strips" sold by moss do cure brake squeal.---Fwiw---Keoke

Just another note. Reportedly, 'Moss' "SHIMS" do not stop brake squeal only their "STRIPS" work.

I also had brake squeal on my TR6 after the brakes had heated up. I used the anti-squeal shims from TRF and haven't heard them since. Easy to install too. $10 well spent.

I had some squeal also and I bought the shims, not the strips, from Moss and it cured the problem. I'm sure the strips will work also, and I've used the anti squeal brake grease/goop that most auto parts stores sell with good effect on my daily drivers.
