I have tried Moss brake pads with the foam backing that is supposed to get rid of noise, then I tried Beck Arnley pads (I think) with anti squeal goo on the back, and those are worse. Both pads had the edges chamfered. Is there a pad out there that wont announce to the world that I am braking?

I got a set of drum brakes you might like, but then might not.

Mine were pretty squeaky until I heated them up a few times. Now the only occasionally squeak.

Try to bed them in again with 4-5 hard stops from say 50 mph. Then let them cool before using them again.

Does EBC or anyone make a performance pad, perhaps less squeaking with a softer compound?

Perfect! Now I know what I am getting for the old girl next paycheck

If you can find locally, look for the VGX brand of pads and rotors. They are made in America, and Canada. They have no intentions of going to China...ever! The rotors are coated with a compound to help mate pad, and rotor for optimum performance and long life. Thier ceramic pads have a silver colored base, and will not turn the front wheels/rims black.
