Does anyone have part numbers for the clips that hold the front left brake line to the crossmember?

They are called a hairpin clip.

Usually stolen of of cars going to the crusher.

Think I would ask Tony, he is always parting something out.

However, anyone might have a couple, you need two on that cross member.

you might be talking about vb part # 14-800. see page 108 (catalog sm.49)

That's it. Cheep enough at 2 bucks each, think there are only 6 on the whole car. Two in front, four under the tunnel for the rear brake line and the fuel line.

i have some extras that came with my brake hose kit that Im willing to part with. they are black plastic. couple bucks to cover shipping?

Hmm, should be metal. At least the orginals are.

these are a black nylon like material and are 2 pieces. theres a fitting that presses into the holes in the body or whatever and then theres a y shaped piece that locks into the fitting and holds the brake line.

They should be metal if they are original parts! They are kind of a "V" clip that pushes into the mounting hole! I do not know how plastic ones would hold up in the long run, though I am not sure they are absolutely necessary so long as the line is routed out of harms way! They will certainly prevent "buzzes and rattles" of the line against anything else!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
