front Brake hose question...

I just ordered front brake hoses from Tony the other day, and I was looking at the ones on the car...

Mine have a spring-like thing around the outside of the hoses. Do I or can I re-use this - or do new one's come with it? It looks like it keeps the hose from being pinched or kinked.

Just curious.
 
the new ones come with the coil wrapping.
 
You would probably ruin the coil by trying to get it off the old hose.
in any case it's just there for a little extra armor, in case something kicks up off the road or the like.
Like nunyas said, should come on the new ones anyway
 
Kenny - I put the new ones in a box to you today - 2 day delivery....the wrap is around the hoses...I've unwound them from old hoses & rewound on better ones - just a little tedious
 
Are they necessary?
 
They keep the hoses from kinking...make them last longer
