Either John left something out OR he is just plain WRONG, folks
!!!!
BOTH bearings MUST, I repeat MUST be either 'hand' or 'grease packer' FILLED with grease. FAILURE to do so WILL result in PRE-mature failure!!!
I will also mention after reading entire thread, NOBODY seems to have done the job CORRECTLY!!!
Also, torque should be #40 to #70 !! BUT it IS dependent upon the oil only assembled clearences!!! Runout IS .002 to .004 inches and is easily attained when assembly is done PROPERLY!!
I take it lack of Bentley Shop Service Manuals and Moss catalogs is prevalent here ?!?!?
