Front and Rear Brakes

I am looking to upgrade the front and rear brakes on my Tiger and wondering if anyone out there has modified their cars (Tiger or Alpine) with discs on all four corners. I know Dale's Resto sells front and rear kits but I am on a bit of a budget...so keep that in mind...if anyone know what will fit and what will work, that would be most helpful to me.

A restricted budget makes it hard.I do believe for the front you can adapt Mustang 2 spindles as someone has done this before but I don't remember who.This will give you a bigger and vented rotor as well as larger calipers and pads.The pad area is increased approxamitly 1.5 times.Do the math.
There is also available a porportioning (?) valve which you can add a little more pressure to the rear but I haven't gone this route..The Alpine / Tiger rear drums are adequate but make sure you drums and shoes are matched.A good brake shop will take care of this.This alone will help in the rear braking as the shoes will have full contact with the drums.
On my car I have gone the whole 9 yards and redesigned the front end with Mustang 2 parts.I also have the 8 inch ford rear end which also has more braking area.

Sorry this is not about brakes but the front end redisign comments make me wonder, did you try to adapt the lightweight tubular mustang crossmember? Reducing the weight of that hunk of flimsy steel while improving the geometry and adjustment capabilities would be a sweet plan. I have a MEngineer family member who I keep threatening to encourage to work with me on said design. How would the beast handle with proper front design!

No to the tubular crossmember.I did modify the original as well as adding extra strength.I did use the Mustang tubular after market A arms.

Whilst wandering the net, found some info that indicates Wilwood either has a kit or the parts needed to install vented front disks and rear disks as well. Up to 12.19" fronts which will require larger wheels. Have not completed all the research but sounds very interesting. Will supply further info if and when I either research or do.
