This one was higher than 2006 but lower than 1990.
It reached a little over 60,000 cfs this time and 1990 was 78,800 cfs.
The weird part is that there is a 260 foot waterfall less than a mile downstream.
We are at 420 foot elevation.
All that water has to be funneled through the narrow waterfall so it backs up and we flood.
My home was built in 1926 and has never had water on the main floor.
In 1990 it came almost up to the porch.
We bought this home in 1989.
Yes, I moved the cars to higher ground.
I drove the lawnmower part way up the back porch and the outdoor tools were on a trailer up out of the water.
