I am a Tinkerer from Virginia and an accidental MG Midget Owner. One day I was showing my daughter how to search for an affordable car on Craigslist, 2 days later we became the owner of an MG Midget. It clearly needed some cosmetic work but what 45 year old car does not. The price was right.

After removing the interior, there were a few more issues, so removed the engine, transmission.......... found out at least 10 different ways to remove rust etc.

I rebuild the engine, new seals in the transmission and axles and currently working on welding new bits here and there. Over time lots of searches ended up here in this forum so it was time to be part of it and maybe share some of my knowledge from trial and tribulations.

Welcome to the BCF! That's a fun little car. Is this going to be your daughters?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

You may find that you enjoy the Midget too much to let your daughter drive it.

The Spridget section is where you will find tips and advice for your Midget.

Welcome!

As it looks like you're no stranger to fabrication and such, consider putting the wee beast on a diet: lose a BUNCH of weight by getting rid of the rubber bumpers.

Bumpers will be gone, either combo led headlights or beehive blinkers, Miata seats, wood dash and I'll fabricate some fender extensions.

Lower the front a bit,

Miata seats, but all ideas are welcome
