Drew, NOTHING more to be said - Thank You!.I had a tough time when I took that picture,&had to be alone at the time. Tony - RIP. - Doug

Four years? Didn't know he was involved in the gulf.

Think if you were a service person you were involved.
My brother, a Nave commander in the reserve, ended up stationed on a ship that never left SD.
Pretty sure he got Gulf ribbons for that

There's 2 different awards. One for those who were there:

And another for those who served during the timeframe:

Maybe there's others, but these are the ones I know of.

I like the "visitor's stone" on top of the marker. Did you place it there, Doug?

No.... I didn't.I did, however, spend a little time by myself there. Also,in the same area, were the headstones of the helicopter crew killedon August 6,2011,in Afghanistan. It took awhile, but I noticed that the dateswere them same,& finally put it together. It hit me,when I noticed items left there, especially pictures, showingthem all together,& having fun.I understand that they aren't going to permitthat any more. - Doug

Gonna be hard to stop it (I hope). Same for items left in remembrance at the Viet Nam Wall.
