I am cleaning out the donor TR3, and neither need nor want nor have room for the extraneous parts it has attached. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send them to you for what it costs me to ship them. Any left next week will be going to the recycler. This offer is only for the week...so if you are pulling this thread up in the distant future, they are already gone!

The transmission is a later TR4 or 4A as evidence by the extra ribs on the sides to bell housing. Some had none, then 1 rib and finally 2 ribs on the latest transmissions.

Someone was just recently looking for that lower radiator shield -- but who was it? I cannot recall if it was here or on the team.net list.

OK...so far these parts are claimed:

Generator
distributor
starter
fuel pump
steering gear
(Geo)
thermostat housing
carbs
Hand crank brace
(Rubicon)
Tranny
(Me)
Windscreen brackets
(Jerry)
Shift lever
Steering gear brace
(Charlie)
Brake handle
(Tim)
Demister vent
(Bill)
Sidescreen mounts
(Steve)
Tank vent
(Paul)

Jerry...I had not even noticed that! I may keep the tranny, or at least the case, as I have been looking for a TR4 case for a while. Gotta laugh that it was right under my nose the whole time!

I appreciate the interest. I much prefer to send this stuff to anyone that can use it.

Oh...Rubicon, I know Geo beat you to the distributor. If you are in a bind, I have a box of distributor parts that may have enough to piece together a complete unit. I would have to find the box and dig through it to know for sure...so it may take me a while to find out. just let me know if you want me to.

Let me find my distributor it's in a box since the move, and I'll see what all I need out of one. I'm not in a huge rush for the engine parts as mine is still in bits n pieces while I do the body/frame repair.
I'm just heading back on shift so it may take me a bit to find as I'm working graveyards for the next 7 days and I like to sleep as long as I can.

I cannot believe this; it is communism; we are sharing too much!!! How about the body tub the floor pans look good.

Naaww. The tub is the only reason I bought this car from Marv...so I've got to keep those!

Oh, Steve, I just sent you an email saying you could have the vent, but after reading your post above, I think you are looking for the one that lets air in the scuttle? So not the defrost vent above? If so, I don't know of one of those in my stash at the moment...did not come across it today. But I will keep my eye out for one in my stacks. I won't need it, since I actually will have to remove the vent from the scuttle to make it a TR2 style.

Update...

Steering brace is going to Charlie, maybe with the shifter lever.
Windscreen brackets to Jerry by a very tight time margin!

I'll edit the claimed list above.

I forget too, but I think they already found one. I offered one with a broken weld and they turned it down.

Great, Handle is going to Tim. I PM'd you...

I remember the gentleman looking for the guard was putting together a restoration for a museum...but that's all I remember. He might have been at the "other" forum. I almost volunteered this one...but wasn't really sure if I still had it at the time.

thanks for the offer of the radiator shield but we built one last week out of some 2.5x2.5 angle iron.

Jerry

So the transmission is the full synchro. In all my years of tr3s I never had a full synchro. Is that still on the table John?
