Ladies, Gentlemen,
I have a '69 Mini with a Pontiac Firefly/Chevy Sprint/Suzuki Swift Turbo engine ( different names, different markets, this one came out of a Pontiac Firefly Turbo )
I bought it as a toy to work on when I lived in Ontario a few years ago, after I moved back to Japan it has been stored and occationally worked on by a mechanic just north of Toronto.
He can't keep it any more and I have no time to go to Canada for at least another year or two.....
so, who wants a free Mini with a very fun little turbo engine. It's yours if you pick it up!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Way to go Willie, that's one more off that free list, and I move up one spot.

Well Jack,
you can drive the Mini I have in Sweden any time ... all for free. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Ahhh, can't get there from here, sigh.

Pick her up tomorrow morning and bring her home to a loving caring family. Jack if you don't want to go to Sweden you can always drive up to Ontario and drive this one

Congrats Willy, nothing beats a free car.

Thanks guys but all the credit needs to go to carl who so generously put it up I was just lucky enough to be the first one to answer. Thanks Carl

I've never seen generosity like this between strangers anywhere but the BCF, this is what makes the british car hobby what it is - it's not just the cars, it's the people.

It's the people with the cars. It takes a special kind of person to love a LBC. Mostly folks are more intrested in seeing that all the rust buckets get restored and driven so they have someone to wave too.

Did not say that well but our little cars some days will be as coveted as a pre war MG is today. I don't mean for their value.

Seems I just can not get my arms around the concept this morning, but we are a brotherhood of one mind reguardless or race, color, religion, date of birth, etc etc. We want everyone that has none to have one and join in our pasion. We want the little cars to survive in good health and be loved and properly taken care of for the next generation.

That's enough.

If I had a way to get it home, I would have jumped on the opportunity to own that car.

If I'd have been ten minutes quicker, I would own that car! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

I was thinking that it would be a fun to get a one way ticket to Canada and drive the MINI back home to Alabama. That would have to be an epic trip. That is if I WAS the lucky dog to be the first at 6:30am to respond. Congrats to our winner of the MINI lottery! and good form to its previous owner. I'm sure he knows it is going to a good home.
