MGB FREE MGB Parts!

Oh, no, its the big one!!!!!

Well guys, it was an absolutely beautiful day for parts gathering.

Picked up the UHaul at around 8:30am, and started off on my long and winding trip to scenic Ruston, Louisiana.

After a little over 4 hours of driving through small towns with memorable names such as Dry Prong and Quitman, I arrived at the location of the Free MGB parts smorgasborg.

And all I can say is WOW. Nathan gave me some really nice stuff. Plenty of straight, undamaged trunk lids, plenty of doors and fenders, and even a brand new floorboard. Also picked up an 18V motor that I've already sold the rods out of ( to help pay for the cost of the trip ) and a spin-on oil filter adapter.

I really want to thank Nathan for allowing me the opportunity to have these parts. I'm still shocked at the amount of cool stuff, and it was absolutely well worth the trip.

Thanks again Nathan!

Mickey, I could use a decent trunk. Any idea as to what it would cost me? I think it would ship UPS pretty reasonably, too. Mine has been twisted by some yahoo trying to close it with the strut locked.

Hey Guinn -

I'll take pictures of both of them, and you can have your choice. One is drilled for a luggage rack, and the other is plain. Both will need some help, but are straight. Don't want anything for it - just pay the shipping - I'll get you the weight and size so you can price that from your end.

Guinn, et al...consider installing a set of these as seen in the attached pic...eliminates the potential of a "helpful friend" bending the bootlid in half!

Quitman? I thought the parts were in Louisiana....

Yes, I am seriously considering struts for the trunk AND the hood. Why they ever came with solid sticks I don't know.

If I'd known they were that close to me....somehow I thought they were in your part of the country!

Ah....
