MGB FREE MGB Parts!

I have a bunch of MGB parts stored at a rental property I am getting ready to sell, and I need to get rid of them quickly. They are FREE to anyone willing to come pick some or all of them up. I think it is probably some sort of sin to throw away old british car parts that may be of use to someone, so I want to give folks the opportunity to use these if at all possible before I am forced to throw them away.

The parts include: 4 or 5 front fenders, not sure if they are for chrome or rubber bumpered cars (how do you tell?); 6 or 7 doors, both sides and several without "the crack of doom", doors include all glass and fittings; 8 or 10 trunk lids, several with badges and one with rusty chrome luggage rack attached; one 18V engine without head or any accessories, engine turns freely and should be rebuildable

The body panels are all rust free or close to it, some have a little surface rust. Most all of them are straight with no dents. The parts are located in Ruston, Louisiana. If someone wants some or all of them let me know and I will give you directions to the house where they are located. Thanks so much guys!

Go, Zack! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Go get 'em!

I'd love to be down there right now. An extra trunk lid would be a nice thing to have.

William -

I have two of them (fair shape) - don't need 'em both!

Isn't it nice to see little parts horded like gold? Does a folk good to know that there are so many that care.

Go, Zack - its 500 miles from me & we need to help develop the next generation's "Autoist".

Yea, Tony about has North Alabama cleaned out as well as surrounding states.

Seems as though the guys on the other board are plotting to cut my throat though.

Oh, how did you sink so low as to be thrown in the rusty MG with me? hehehehe

(PS: I just went over there & read both threads...get in touch with Nathan & tell him you'll drive over today or tomorrow with your truck & pick them all up - to include sweeping after yourself!)

LOL indeed Tony. I guess I'll bring chicken fingers LOL

I PM'ed him. I can probably go up there tomorrow afternoon or Sunday.

Mike - No problem bossman! Might cost you dinner at Hooters Hahaha.

Zack - If I drive all the way to Lafayette, we ain't eating at Hooters - we'll go to Stroud's!

And what, pray tell, is wrong with the Restaurant with the Orange Awnings?

No complaints about said establishment. BUT - Stroud's makes the best steak in the gulf coast region and if I am within a 200 mile radius, I'll make the effort!

Nuttin', if you like franchise restaurants. But it's South Lousiana, for cryin' out loud! The "hole-in-the-wall" joints can't be beat, if it's food and atmosphere you're after... Right, Zack?

Wow, just WOW! I posted this just a few hours ago and LOOK at the response! I am thrilled to see these parts won't be going to the crusher and/or landfill. Looks like my man in Lafayette has dibs on the parts. I will hold out an extra trunk lid for wkilleffer if he wants one. I live in Jackson, Mississippi so I could bring one back here with me if that helps you.

Zack - I will get in touch with you to set up arrangements to get the parts.
