That's quite remarkable. I looked into storing my LBCs during the upcoming garage project, and the rate at a couple of places near me was about $250 per month -- no garage time, no beer, no commaraderie.

How many members does the club have? There must have been some form of initial investment to get the whole thing up and running, or else there was a *very* generous benefactor.
I THINK we have about 140 members.

Two of the members of the club bought the proerty...it was formerly a motorcycle dealer and it's about 5 miles or so outside of town on a small, local road.

Anyway, they formed a corporation, bought the property and lease it back to the club...I'm 90% sure that that is the way it operates...but I'm pretty new around there and I may be a little off the mark.

One thing that makes this deal possible is the relatively modest Midwest property values...modest in relation to much of the east and west coast, anyway. I doubt if you could do this in Boston or LA...at least as affordably as you can here.

Wow; This past yr. I was looking into something; Well lets just say similar (Not Even Close); Here in Northeastern PA: The Owner of the Facility features A/C; Heat; Monitors All over; "That`s It"! The Low Cost of this storage is $85.00 per mo: Not really All that bad but like some of the other folks here; No Beer, No Playing with Your Car & Worst of All; No Comraderie (Did I spell that Correctly)?

I`m almost tempted to Move just to join Your Club!!!!

$85.00 is still a deal for climate controlled storage.

I have a 1500 sq. ft. shop at home AND a 14 X 40 storage building. My nephew owns the storage building so I get a 'family' discount...I pay $72.00 per month which is really reasonable...even here.

Looks like I want my garage to look like!!!
