The bubonic plague was like 550 years ago...sheesh

How long ya gonna hold a grudge?

And what self respecting mouse wouldn't be happy to use a flea killing preparation?

We're talking poor mice here with little or no health care.

There's an old abandoned farmhouse up in Tennessee next to Jerri's fame...its walls are covered in old newspapers - been there as long as I've known Jerri....when our daughter was younger, she & her cousins would go & read the old papers...she said it was like a history lesson...apparently the people who lived there used the old newspapers as a type of insulation.

We found an old pack of Wrigley's Spearmint gum...and coal dirt.
Someone I know found a bag of diamonds. Restored the inside of the house after cashing in. I'd like to know the background on that one.

Actually found a small room behind a non-original wall.

In it there were only 2 items...

A chair & a Burger Chef cup???

(Upright & placed near the front corner)

Until recently, my younger sister lived in a very old house in upstate NY..right outside of Cooperstown. One day she was standing in a closet on the second floor and decided to peel some old ugly wallpaper off and repaint. She peeled layer after layer when she started seeing newspaper, apparently being used as insulation. The more she steamed and peeled, the older it got. I think she quit when she hit breaking news about civil war battles. Most was savable, I'll try to find out what she did with the articles and maybe post a few pics.

I have an old English Chest of drawers, and someone once lined them with paper from a long-defunct newspaper from Gloucester (my home town). They're dated 1823, and the articles and news are really interesting.
The chest has been in the family for 100 years or more.
