A photo of a photo. The 8x10 in the upper left of the shot above.

Single source, studio incandescent (daylight balanced) bulb in a reflector. Not much of a consideration with B&W photos but that was what I had. It may likely have added a bit to the contrast, that was Tri-X and ISTR the B&W emulsions of the time were a bit more blue sensitive. That was a test print, I don't have the final one where I "burned in" the highlights to dial down the contrast some.

Some of those proofs include young women participating in the "Miss Geneva-on-the-Lake" weekly beauty contests. That started in about 1966 for me, every Wednesday during the season. Long story. Lovely young ladies!

I wouldn’t mind shooting a bunch of beauty contestants!!

Weekly? LOL. How many weeks before everyone who has entered has won?

Entrants were vacationers, the contestants were refreshed weekly. The season went from Memorial Day to Labor Day with a "final" where all weekly winners could return, judging then to pick the winner for the year.

I will admit I learned as a 16-year-old there was more than one use for Kleenex tissues... o_O
