need to stay off the computer, am trying to thin the herd when I found a verynice 67 MGB roadster. Wire wheels, overdrive, hard-top...what was I to do?? only about 110 miles away so swapped the Camaro vert for the wifes Durango(she said"you are going to buy it...right??") Love that woman....Am leaving in about 15 minutes. Except for the bad gas tank all is well with the car.Seller aplologized for missing radio...I have a block off plate...its red with black leather and only has pulled stitches on drivers seat. This makes four bought cars in the past week or so, others are two Bugs...a 63 and a 66 and a very nice 61 Bonneville. I'm sick...anyone have a cure??

No cure - only a 12-step program.

And it seems you're having trouble with that first step!

BGTs are great driving cars. But, maybe you can buy it, shine it up a bit, and resell for a profit if it's such a good deal.

Then, you'll have money for ANOTHER LBC!

That's the ticket!

B roadster with a hardtop, Mark.

'67 is about the pinnacle of the MGB's evolution IMO. Nice score, Jack.

I don't mean to point out the obvious, but do you want a cure, Jack?
What would you do with your spare time.
And it sounds as if you married Annie's (my wife) sister.
Wish I had some money to spend, that sounds like a good score.

Did I mention, we are all on your side?

Dave :savewave:

I think if we each take one and store it in our garages without telling you where they are, it might help cure you. Of course I volunteer my garage because I very much want you to get better. :yesnod:

I nominate JP for a BCF Humanitarian Award! He's SO concerned about the well being of his fellow BCFers!!

And I'll help with Jack's rehab too!! That's not something a person should do alone!

LOL

Yeah, and we need to get his wife into LBC-anon, for her enabling activity! :jester:

Nice score. I want to see pics of the whole herd.

CURED....yes it was the Amarillo B....and yes...its still in Amarillo. Pulled up in the alley, dropped the ramps on the dolly, walked into the garage and I think my footsteps caused the vibrations that started the rust falling. Not one solid area(only the hood escaped as it was alum.) The frame even had scab patches, the floors were plywood screwed to what frame was left..interior shot, windscreen busted... talked to owner for a while, stowed dolly ramps and hit take me home on the GPS. was a nice day for a drive, stopped in Hereford TX and ate ate a chinese place. Decided to pick up a couple of old Bugs in Roswell instead...a 62 and a 66 to go with the 65 I got three weeks ago.

Wait a minute... I could have sworn you were trying to reduce the fleet

I AM....got a buyer for my 75 911s...its going to Prescott Az tomorrow...my 02 Camaro is getting looked at today, I have people lining up at the gate wanting to buy(as is) some of the old Bugs I'm bring in..no way...going to build them my way...and am stripping my 68 BGT and a 72 roadster before hauling whats left to the recyclers. my yard is shrinking.
