I had made mention on another topic regarding the Horler Midget Sprite Restoration Book. I paid around $28 a little over a year ago from Amazon. Someone mentioned they are $180.00 now. Sure enough that is the going rate. Mine just went off the coffee table and into safe keeping. I can't think of anything that I have bought that increased in value that much in such a short period of time, maybe our cars are next?

When I first got my midget they were out of print and bringing similar money. A few months later there was another printing and available for $24.95
 
After I sold my MGC I decided to sell all the original BMC manuals etc I had for it.

I made out better than you would if you sold your book.

But then, there's no chance those will ever be reprinted.
 
Someone will put them in PDF and then the party will be over. Same thing happened to my "priceless" Z manual.
 
Then I guess I sold at the right time.
Buy low, sell high.

My edition was printed in 2003. Think I paid maybe 25 bucks on amazon I think.
 
So...just noticed today that Amazon.ca is offering pre-orders for the Horler book; new publisher, proposed release of June 1st, 2011. I contacted the publisher to verify. The previous publisher said they had no plans to publish the title again.

Got confirmation from the new publisher of the Terry Horler book. Should be available by early July.
