Found Fusor, a good deal, a good day

I checked out my local auto paint/glass dealer today seeking Fusor adhesive. I figured they wouldn't have it but would have something close. To my surprise they carry the full Fusor line as well as 3M and everything else. Got the medium set tubes ($36) and noticed they had a Use By date of March 1 so they sold me the gun at cost - $37, down from $65. I think it was a good day. To top it off we went to an awards ceremony where my daughter was awarded as the top math student at her high school! Then we had ice cream.

POR-15 order is coming next week.

Congrats! What are you going to attach or cover with the Fusor?

When using POR, take their instructions seriously. Make sure the metal you coat is "rough" and/or treated for a long time with their acid etch. Don't forget the gloves!

I'm going to put on the floor panels, rocker panels, and wing patch panels with the Fusor. I was impressed with the test results saying that it tested stronger than welds. I wouldn't use it on structural members, but these pieces aren't structural.

I have used 3M autobody adhesive on patch panels and doglegs with good results. The nice side effect is that the goo oozes out of the seams and seals the joint, preventing future rust, plus none of the warping you get when you weld sheet metal.
