I wondered if someone had received a private message I'd sent a couple days ago. Went to MyStuff/Messages, and found the guy I'd sent the message to had "removed" himself from the message thread. No big deal - but surprised I got no response to my question.

However, just about 5 minutes ago I got an email notifying me that I had a private message (and fortunately including the text of the message).

Went to the forum, logged in, and noticed there was no "flashing envelope" which usually says there's an unread message waiting.

Opened the message folder, and there was indeed an unread message waiting - even tho' the "flashing envelope" still wasn't there.

Just wondered if the "unsubscribed from the message" and the "missing envelope flash" were related.

Anyone else notice any private message "strangeness"?

Thanks.
Tom
PS - come to think of it, I'm 99% sure I posted a reply to a current thread I'm subscribed to, clicking Submit. But a few hours later I noticed my post still didn't show up. So I repeated my post and it showed up immediately. Chalk up #3 on my strangeness list.

I've noticed some of my forum posts seem to be missing ... other than the ones the Emperer said he removed /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif But I figured I just forgot to click 'Submit' or something.

Most of the day yesterday I could not log into the site at all. I did get on for about five minutes, made two posts, and then I could not get on again at all. This morning I got on fine and have had no problems.

I too have gotten email notices of messages but the flashing envelope never showed up on my screen but there was a new message. I think it is rogue electrons acting up in anticipation of the full moon...

Dave - it's the lunar eclipse. Gotta be.

I sent myself a test private message about an hour ago. Still no email notice or flashing envelope. Weird.
