Forgot Positioning of Lids on Carb Float Chambers

I removed the tops of the float chambers on the carburetors in my '59 100-6 and forgot what position the threaded inlets on the lids should be in. Are they oriented closer to the middle of the engine compartment or closer to the driver side fender? I know that while standing on the driver side of the car, the inlet for the front carb points to the front of the car and the inlet for the rear carb points to the rear of the car. Just need to know which way to rotate the lids. Thanks!

Hi 100-6, I think they are positioned so the overflows point outboard.---Fwiw-Keoke-?

Closest to the motor, you can kinda see it from this shot.
