Friday we saw the weekend forecast for our area of Connecticut. One to three inches of snow.

Early this morning, looks a bit deeper.

Just finished removing 13" snow from the 500 foot driveway. Time for a nice cuppa cocoa - with just a bit of peppermint schnapps.

Hope you all are digging out successfully!

-Actually I saw in your area,8-12, forcasted yesterday

Oh yea, do you prop the wipers up so you can find the car later?

I've seen some people doing it here too, I think people do it when it's an icy snow when wipers can stick onto a windshield and can be very hard to pry off...

You mean to tell me that weather prediction is not an exact science? Say it ain't so! :smug: By the way - smart folks those who lifted their wiper blades before the storm!

Around here we like to joke that the weather man needs a window in his office so he can look outside and see what it's doing before going on the air. We have had many forecasts that weren't even accurate at the time he was giving them.

"Reality" hit here (as forecast, oddly) this week. About a foot on the ground. For us it's 1/3 mile to a paved road, so we're 4wd until March or so. No UPS or Fedex 'till then. No complaints - nice and quiet this time of year apart from the occasional snowmobiles.
