Ford "T" Speedster

I'm a big fan of Ford Model T and Model A Speedster. They were like the Lotus Seven of pre-war US cars.

~Click Here~ to see a nice article on one of these old "specials".

Here's a ~Slide Show~ from the article.

that is cool! sigh, I need way deeper pockets and way more room and a way more understanding wife and a way more understanding employer.

Very neat.

Model T bits aren't too expensive, JP. Just need to dive in and go!

trust me I'd love to - even know where one is, tragically I have already filled both the garage and her good graces. Besides, there is two or three (or more cars) higher up on the list.

Good to know where your limits are. I've got a one-car-at-a-time rule for just that reason.

Re: Ford "T" Speedster

I have a friend who finally has his Model T Speedster running (though no body yet) after starting the project back in high school. He recently retired...

Took him a while but it'll be a beautiful car when it's done.

One reason I think these are so popular is that the cars themselves are so easy & so much fun to work on. Everything is robust and there's plenty of room to swing a wrench (or hammer). And parts are plentiful and mostly cheap.

I'd love to build an A Speedster in the style of a Bugatti T35, like the one below.

Many, more Ford speedsters here:

I like THAT! But I don't think I'd like grabbing that parking brake handle after a couple hour drive! Ouch...hot,hot,hot!

Re: Ford "T" Speedster

This just showed up on Kijiji - not crazy about the windshield, but I love the back half.
