Ford Crown Vic - RIP

The last Ford Crown Victoria rolled off the assembly
line. Not everyone's favorite car,but the end of an era.
When I needed the room, this was always my first choice
as a rental car - room for 6,25+ mpg,& a trunk that would
swallow up a huge amount of luggage,a comfortable ride,+ -
handling that was impressive for it's size.
I'm wondering what all of the police departments/high-
way patrols will go to?

I have a buddy that bought an ex-sherrif's unit, had it all cleaned up, drives it everywhere (all black), he tells me there is such a demand for them still, there are outfits that fully recondition them and return them for service.
He also told me from the same source, the new Dodge's suck, big time. Horrible availability, break down regularly, can't see out the back, and the resellers don't want anything to do with them as nobody is buying.

I live within 30 miles of the plant that made these. (St. Thomas On.)
Just put over 1000 people out of work.
Not a happy topic at the local coffee shop.

Can you see State Troopers in Smart cars?

Ilinois State Police have begun using downsized Chevy Impalas.
