I got an interesting e-mail warning from the
United States Power Squadron concerning boating safety.
They posted a photo to bring home the point of always being
alert and keep your eyes on the water ahead. Take nothing
for granted.

BYW: A similar aircrash happenered near my marina a
few years ago. Thankfully, no one killed.

tinster, nice of him to put that warning
marker up out of the water, isnt that the plane they tried
to lift out with helicopters?

<span style="color: #660000"> It is possible but the photo was sent to me.

The plane that emergency landed by my marina landed in about
10 feet of water, right after take off.

We watched another emergency landing of a single engine plane.
The pilot put the plane down perfectly on a narrow beach, on an
isolated island at the edge of San Juan Bay. A once shot attempt
since his engine was dead.

The locals took off the wings, built a plywood barge and floated
the small to shore.

Was that in salt or fresh water?
