For Tony's eyes only

Neat.

THANKS!!!!

I've left a phone message with them...gotta ask a couple of questions to clear up my rust concerns before I make the plunge....where is Perkasie, PA?

What a nice little car. Someday, I'd like one of these litle Morris sedans (or the similar Austin 7).

Perkasie is about 30 miles north of Philadelphia.

slick....and agreed if no rust problem pretty good
price..is the oil can OEM and included in Buy it Now?

Tony hurry up and buy it or I may do something foolish!!!

About an hour north of Philadelphia, just off the Northeast extension of the PA Turnpike.

If this is the car I recall, they had it at the Lancaster MG Club show last summer, and it really is a time-warp car. And pretty solid as I recall.

Waiting for one of the guys to call me back again w/i half hour - they're lookingu p under it for me.

WOOHOO!!! Wish I were closer, Tony! I'd claim "shotgun!"

You'd be in the heart of PA Dutch country; Pottstown, Mackungie, Perkiomen, Kutztown... GREAT FOOD!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Okay, so now before I break down & do a "Buy it Now", I've gotta figure out the logistics of getting it here...I've already shown it to Jerri & she's not 'blown her stack'...even agrees I should look at having it transported instead of driving up to get it.....

We could organize a relay for you. I'll drive it from say Richmond VA to Columbia SC for you...

Accompanied by another vehicle of course.

That does make a lot of sense. Mebbe Nial or another member in that area has a reputable transport outfit to suggest? All my contacts are here and would be $$ more mileage.

Mike, the garage owner, is checking on a truck he has coming up in a week to transport a car to Louisiana...to see if it could go at least part way by truck....for $500 its worth it! We'll see what he says.

Update: Am aiting on the truck driver to contact me.

Hehe, I was eyeing that auction too, and read the "ask seller a question" stuff, and just KNEW someone here was watching it too /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif !! Neato /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif !! Get it Tony, and bring it into the BCF fold!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Better break out your metric toolkit. I read somewhere that right up until the merger with Austin into BMC in 1952, Morris used Hotchkiss engines, and Hotchkiss was originally a French manufacturer (moved to UK during WW1), so all the engines have metric fasteners.

I'd be happy to take it via Ontario and you could pick it up, say, 2010. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

I think it needs transported??

Pa is a long way.

Just think what the boys at the paint shop can do with that.

I agree - while I'm pondering adding a Morris to my MG collection, I'm still waiting on the truck driver to call...if he hasn't by Monday, well....

Gonna make a decision soon...have gotten quotes for moving it from PA to here...only problem is it wouldn't get here until after I return from Europe in July! I've 2 options on shipping: the guy takes cars to a place outside South Bend where he transloads them to trucks heading to different parts of the country.......or I could drive to PA to pick it up (1600 mile round trip)

Now I've gotta convince myself before Monday that I'll not be finding an MG Y-Type saloon anytime soon!
