I'll admit it makes me long for an Elan some day... because chasing electrical faults on a steel-bodied car is just too simple.

To be fair, Drew, there's a steel "wishbone" chassis down the center of the li'l beastie. It works to conduct grounding... but there is an abundance of black wire that is missing from your MG, I admit.

Unfortunately like the Alfa GT a Lotus have moved out of my price range. Ah well, such is the way of things.
 
Easter - it was just like in that clip, country lanes with spring flowers everywhere (daffodils mostly). Made me wish I'd had a Lotus with me!
Harry's dead right though, the Elan is an astonishingly competent road car, particularly in the right conditions.
Anyway, here's a picture of England I took a week or so back - sadly I'd forgotten my camera so this is a phone pic, but I liked it anyway.
