I almost didn't recognize Steve Martin. I'm used to seeing an arrow through his head when he plays the banjo.

now there is something I heaven't heard in a while.

Awesome.

I'm pretty sure before he was 'someone', Steve Martin worked at Disneyland as a banjo player.

Oh faces... Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, Marty Stuart, Steve Martin, Paul Shaffer. Don't recognize anyone else.

The rest are Glen Duncan, Randy Scruggs, Albert Lee, don't know the harmonica player, and Jerry Douglas.

I heard Earl about 5-6 years ago just after he turned 80, and was amazed he hasn't slowed down at all.

WOW!!!! that was cool!
How many bluegrass musicians does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Doesn't matter. As long as they all get a turn.

Well, none of these guys are familiar to normal people, but on further consideration I think the harmonica player is Earl's other son Gary, who usually plays bass.

There. That's been bothering me.

Actually tried to play about 30 (!) years ago. Got only so far, and then gave up. Would like to try again - maybe will when retirement finally rolls around.

Play "at" guitar now. But use the three-finger banjo method when finger-picking!

I love the Kruger Brothers. I have a few of their songs in my files. Talk about 100 MPH!!! and to watch them play, It's like their sittin there chewin gum or something!!!
LOTS of practice! If you hear them sing you'd swear they're from Kentucky or Tennessee Not Sweden!

Dueling Banjos leaves one breathless!! Amazing, all the tunes from movies that seem to fit from some riff of the Dueling Banjo melody. I kept wondering,"Where is Lara's Theme?" from Dr.Zhivago. Blue grass is fun. T.T.
