The Tulsa airport, back in the 40s.

Paul - do I detect a Beech Staggerwing near the DC-3?

I knew a fella who had a Stagger Wing back in the early 60s but never flew one. he had the hanger next to mine. Always wanted to get into one but never got the chance. They had retractable gear and would cruise at 200+ MPH!
I forgot to add, the gear was hand-cranked up or down by means of what looked like a bicycle chain.

Paul - you have a Private message (now called conversation) - look at the envelope icon at the upper-right of the screen.

Thanks, Basil much appreciated.
