Please note that these small jobs I am doing are just that, time fillers, but fillers that need done. Tis too hot to be out for more than 30 min except early in the morning.

Adjust valves has been about 180 miles so is about time.

Lean out the carbs, boy are they rich.

Agatha a bit 'stinky' then? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Not blowing smoke but the tail pipe is really black and she uses too much fuel.

Checked head bolts, found two that needed snuging.

Checked valves found one that needed snuging.

Took up both carbs one flat. I know, I know that is not the way to adjust them. But it is going to have to do for today, too hot and humid even with big fan in garage in the middle of the day.

Found something else. The front carb fuel float chamber cap was loose, I mean real loose. Just might have been the cause of my excess fuel consumption.

Took a bit of a ride, boy one flat leaner surely makes a difference, I can actually break the rear end loose. Think I will go another flat tomorrow and test again.

Still hot at 6:30 but sun is no longer up so it is bearable on the road. Gota love those tests.

Watch breaking that rear end loose Jack, we don't want to hear about Miss Agatha snapping axles! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif
