I seem to have a problem with fuel overflowing. I read here that a fuel pump should be putting out no more than 4.5 to 5 PSI. The pump I have is one the AutoHouse guy said was for two barrel carbs, so I guess he knows his stuff. But it keeps flooding. Do I need a "pressure regulator"?

Any answers?

4.5-5 isn't the end of the world for fuel pressure, although I'm far from being a Weber guru, most of the time 2-3 lbs psi is plenty on our four bangers.

Hmm... So why would the setup pictur'd be floodin' ?!?

EDIT: it's a '64 MGB, "5-main" (whatever THAT means) I'm told it has a CAM and high compression, too. :smirk:

Methinks mayhap a clue to the answer to Doc's question is found within the title of this posting......

Doc, Weber DCOE carbs should have no more than 4 psi of fuel pressure. And if my eyes aren't completely shot that carburetor looks suspiciously like the bottom of the carburetor is topside, upside down?

Okay, end of the day and I now realize you're trying to pull your April Fools Day joke.....

Yeah. In another post I made the error of sayin' "#4 downpipe" on a tubing header for an MGB had a pinhole... Hap consider'd it an April Fool joke. So I posted the above in response.

I trolled, 'e bit. Just fer joshin' purposes. :jester:

You can get away with upside down Webers. Like to see you try to slide a pic of upside down SUs by them....

I suspect you're right, Bill. I might have tried tho if I'd had one on file.
