???? for computer guru's

I doubt it's the monitor, the mouse wouldn't freeze from that. You might want to update the video driver first, that's free.

Well now it's really froze up! Before when I turned the computer off at freeze up, then on, it was ok for a period of time. Now it is freezing up at start up!

Just replace it with a 450W one, cheep enough and it should not make noise.

When you get it running clean up the register. I have a laptop I use for Allen Bradly PLC and HMI work adding the last round of updates and and a PCMK card sort gave it a hard time. Cleaning the register and getting rid of orphan drivers and programs fixed.

I agree. It sounds a lot like a video problem. A driver update is a good start. If that doesn't work, and it's not an overheating problem then it might be time for a new card. It could be replaced rather inexpensively if you don't need one of the newer high power cards. I've seen some online as cheap as $20.00 for a basic card.

If that doesn't work there's always a hammer :hammer:

Had the old beast tested and it's RIP for my old computer. Guy was very helpfull though and managed to figure out how to get my pictures and video files transfered to a computer in his shop, then to the one I bought.
Thanks to those that helped.
