Don't know how many folks have heard of these guys, but I saw them play last night, and they are amazing. They don't just play the music well, they emulate them completely. Same instruments, same haircuts, clothing, accents, mannerisms, and yes, they refer to themselves as John, Paul, George, and Ringo. All that was missing was the women screaming at Paul and George's "in my heart" line during "Please Please Me". If you get a chance to seem them, I highly recommend it.

<span style="color: #3333FF">Yes, that is a John Lennon Signature Seires 12 string Ricenbacker (300 total of these made) and yes, that is a Vox AC-30 Top Boost and yes, I have the same Pyramid Gold strings the Beatles (and Byrds) used! Other than that I'm not obsessed.</span>

Is that an auto harp I see tucked under the piano? Which Beatle played that?

That is a <u>non-functioning</u> decoration. It is a real Auto Harp, but it is very old and un-playable. My wife got it from one of her relatives in Germany just to use as decoration. The Piano is a Hamilton Upright Grand (over 100 years old) with real ivory keys and sounds great. The other guitar is a hand made Pimmentel Jumbo 12 string.

Hi Basil,
I liked how you underlined non-functioning. Iโ€™ve got those around the house also. A mandolin, trumpet (from the movie The Mambo Kings) and a cello, which needs the neck reattached someday. A friend told me that they sell a kit to make an AC30 amp. (Not that you need one, but it might be a fun project)

I saw 2 Beatles tribute bands last year, and I have to tell you, 1964 is phenomenal. Half way through the first song, I could have closed my eyes and known it was the Beatles up on stage. The tribute band I saw last fall (dang, forget which it was) had a much better stage presentation with costumes etc., but their vocals weren't as good as 1964. Only problem with 1964 is that I find the guy that plays Paul a bit disturbing...
