Well, next summer(2004) is my trip up thru the Northeast to Nova Scotia...gonna visit, Naomi, Kim & lots of the other citizens of MG-dom...she says she has room for my RV so if it fits the schedule, I'll help with the garage...
...&, I'm all for her beer:

you and Gary need to get together on this, cause as long as you give me enough notice, I'm there

I haven't seen such a useless thread in quite a while... (With the exception of the planning for the barn raising... I mean garage raising.) Next thing you know, people will be quoting Monty Python movies.

My little contribution to help this thread break 5 pages.

Henri, are real men green ducks?

Yeah...and our "quacks" are bigger than our "bites"...actually...when I called on my cell phone for a "private dick"...they sent me a "private duck"...oh well...

Whose talking about getting even...I'm talking about getting ahead...

I thought I had a lot of time on my hands!

Almost makes me wish I drove an mg...

Oh, and Henri, I figured I'd better give you a 5 star rating before one of these jokers gave you something else

This could be the eternal thread until we get Kim's garage built! LOL But what a nice thinkg to read while I ate my lunch today...what else is there to do when it is 20 degrees???

In Missouri, my dream garage would have A/C and heat. I would like an overhead hoist for removing the engine. It would be nice if there was a pit with removable grates in case- (in case??? what am I thinking?

) -for when I need to get under the Midget. Lots of shelving would be nice for spare parts, etc. Then a nice 3' X 8' workbench would come in handy. Lots of lights would grace the dream garage and at least one whole wall would be paneled with peg board.

That's for starters....

This is the beauty of useless threads. You don't have to read and contribute to it unless you're having a useless day. . .

Anyway, I mentioned to Chas. today at breakfast that in a year and a half or so, we may have a couple Land Yachts and MGs descending on our property to build our garage and extension. He is really doubting that this will ever happen. I told him that, if nothing else, the very thought of it could get us motivated to start making plans for it.

He also doesn't think we can get a construction loan if a bunch of beer-drinking British car fanatics, most of whom we have never met, are going to be building it . . .
