Hi all,
Can someone advise me on how the TR4 footwell carpet pieces are installed?
Seems like they are made of boards with carpet covering them?
I'm trying to clean up my carpet situation (among other things) and I'm missing the footwell "boards".
Thanks.

What I have found and duplicated during restoration is--. The leading edge against the door has small screws with cone shaped washers. If you look at the metal of the body. You should be able to see where those screws originally were, about 1" in from the door.
The rest of the piece is glued to the sidewall. On the driver side you also have the foot operated dimmer switch which is in a small depression and has two bolts. One of least favorite places to work!!
Also the draft excluder is screwed in place prior to the sidewall panel.

P.s. the side panels use a piece of hardboard in the center under the carpet.

When doing interior bits take the time to coat the cardboard parts with urethane to stop moisture
from destroying it later. Especially the door cards !! They warp at the first car washing you do!!
