Foolish Dale got lucky-this time

Thank you all for your kind thoguths.
I hope this can be a learning experience
for many.

Deep down, I probably knew 3 months ago the
pain was due to a brain infark or spmething.
I tried to fool myself. I worried my poor
wife needlessly for 3 months. My bad. It
won't happen again.

On a positive note: Tortola is one very fine island,
to kick back, relax, enjoy the gorgeous turquoise waters,
watch the pelicans dive for fish, drink fresh mango freezes,
and eat fattening local foods. We spent my last birthday on
Tortola. Nice folks. Very mountainous island with $$$ taxis.

...not to scare Dave off of Grand Turk, but the only "taxi" we had (actually we walked to the hotel from the airplane most days) was either the truck that carried prisoners from the Turk's Prison, or the local police officer in his car.

Glad you're feeling better Dale!

Thanks Scott!

I thought Turk was inhabited by iguanas. No idea folks went
there for vacations. Might be fun to 4-wheel it. The desert
in Aruba is a blast in beat up Jeep 4X4s. Maybe Turk is also?

What...that 700 room timeshare on Turk with 7 pools, massage parlors and limo services I bought into from an email might not be the real deal?....anyway Dale good to
have ya round still..who else could I heckle that puts up with me...

..had us all scared. Glad you have a handle on it. (it's not related to anything Pedro did, is it?)

Dale- We all worry about you and are glad it has passed. Take care my friend and you owe that nice wife of yours for 3 months of wife worry which is something NO MAN can duplicate.

I'll scan some pictures this weekend maybe. When I was there they had five people staying in the hotel. The only reason people went there then was to go diving at "the wall" (I think that's what they call it).

Dunno if they had iguanas, but they had a ton of feral mules wandering all over the island

PS: I'll post pictures in another thread

Glad to hear you have a concrete diagnosis. Follow the doctor's orders please. You are too valuable an asset to this forum to lose to something preventable. Be well.

Dale - I'm beginning to learn to listen to my body...we're not getting any younger!

Glad you're hanging in!!

Heck, I was just notified that my sister-in-law 7 years younger than me passed away last night (actually, I just got around to listening to 26 messages on my phone)

Tony, this seems to have been missed in all the other replies, but most sincere condolences.

Dale you take care and protect your head.

Dale - there are three rules you might want to jot down:

1. Dale and Wendy are most important.

2. Amos, tarpon, margaritas, and lechon come second.

3. Without #1, #2 is useless.

Salud!
