Ok, this is a racing post, but it's also about the Fall scenery in the Finger Lakes Region of New York state.

It's hard to explain how stunning the foliage was at Watkins Glen last weekend.

Great pics Nial! no need to explain the foliage to me. We're gonna try to take our annual leaf peepin drive this weekend. Colors are about peak right now. maybe even starting to decline.
I think the teal bugeye is my friend Roger Garnett, unless he sold the car. Last
I knew he was also running a green and white MG 1100.
 
Yes, that's Roger. Nice guy. From Ithaca, I think. I had good chats with him both days. Between him and Jerry Smith (burgandy Devin-Corvair) we had fun playing back-of-the-pack.

The leaves were truly stunning.....pefect time of year. I remember going up to the F1 races (late 60s-early 70s) around the same time of year. Always enjoyed the trees.
