TR6 Fog lights part 2

Hi all. After reading more about wiring and fog lights, I am confused and have a few more questions 1) Is the positive lead to the fog light solid red, or red with a yellow stripe? Is the negative line yellow or white? 2) I think I have a spare fuse on my fuse box . (My car is not in front of me at the moment.) Would it make sense to run power through here to my auxiliary fog light switch? 3) Can someone recommend a source that sells period connectors? There are no wires coming out of my fog lights at the moment. 4) On the relay, does it always go between a power source and the switch, or after the switch? 5) During fog, do you drive only with the fog lights, or are they only turned on as additional lighting to your regular headlights? I seem to remember years ago in drivers ed. that you were never allowed to drive with only your fog lights on. Help on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

For the normal British wiring code, the hot lead (positive for a negative ground car) would be red with a yellow stripe. Solid red is for tail lights and marker lights. The ground lead should be black.

But the electrons don't care, so in reality you can use whatever you want.

I get my bullets and sleeves from TRF.

The relay can go either way; in other words the switch can control either power to the relay coil, or ground to the relay coil. But the more common configuration is for the switch to control power to the coil.

Fog lights are supposed to be used only as additions to regular headlights, and only in fog.
