I left a screwdriver under the hood of my 59 TR 3A which resulted in a couple of very small nicks in two of the fan blades. Is this liable to cause any problems.

no not likely, ive flown in light aircraft with pretty decent sized nicks in its only prop. I didnt like the idea of it, but it worked just fine. no balance issues or anything. Im sure someone else will give more info soon though

Ron, for peace of mind, take a small round file, and dress the nicks so they are radiused, leaving no sharp corners or edges. This will minimize the possibility of a stress crack propagating from the nick. Not 100% fool proof by any means, but the best you can do short of replacing the fan.
