Technically, I think not. Since the real name of the UK is the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland I think one could make the case that Northern Ireland is not British and thus the DeLorean is not a British car.

But I could be wrong.
 
Granted I don't think anybody would want to relive the death & destruction of seventies over the issue brought about by the IRA.

Personal & political ramifications aside - I believe that the majority of folks who actually live in Northern Ireland consider the part of the United Kingdom. However I would agree that there is an argument against that as most “Irish” don’t.

So made in Northern Ireland - I would consider the DeLorean British. Lord knows they flipped the bill for it.
 
All I know is every time I get out of one, I hit my head on the gullwing!
