DSCF5852.jpgCould someone please tell me where the flasher on a 1964 TR4 is located?...Marla

Can't imagine it would be different from my '66 4A...driver's footwell, upper left hand corner.

If it is like our TR4A, is is at the top of the left interior panel above the clutch pedal. Easy access.

Upper left side of driver's footwell, about ten inches or so above the headlight dimmer switch.

Yes I did see that yesterday...I was not sure because the unit is glass and kinda spooky looking...I did not want to pull on it until I was sure...Marla

Please take a picture. I can't wait to see what it looks like, as I don't recall ever seeing a glass flasher unit!?

Ok...fine...it's plastic BUT still spooky looking...I am a blonde so sometimes I say dumb things...at least that is what my little brother Bobby use to tell me.download (20).jpg

Aloha Marla,

There are aftermarket flasher units that are load independent, meaning they will flash for any number of bulbs. Old school flashers depend on the heat from a set current load (like 2 light bulbs) to flash. Other units make an extra-loud noise when flashing; can't imagine why anyone would want that feature though... They are usually in clear plastic cases and have various electronic parts in them.

Thanks to your brother for keeping the peace in a crazy world.

Jeff

DSCF5894.jpg....So I got a new flasher and put it in last night and am happy to say that the turn signals now function as they should...very relieved about that...Marla
