TR2/3/3A Flasher Unit operation

Went through numerous old posts addressing the flasher unit but couldn't find my exact situation. When I operate the turn signal the direction lights for that side blink very rapidly and I do not hear the flasher unit operating. While trouble shooting I accidently bumped the flasher unit. It began working and the lights blinked at a normal rate. I repeated this operation several times. Each time with the same result regardless of the direction for the turn. Turn signal on, lights flash rapidly, bump flasher unit and system operates normally. The flasher unit is only a few months old, purchased from Moss. Is it a flasher problem or should I look elsewhere?

The standard flasher is very sensitive to current. I would double check for any dubious connections in the area first.

Never posted a solution for this problem. Purchased another flasher unit from Moss, installed it and system worked normally. Bad flasher unit.

I hate to say it but I found the same flasher at my hardware store for my TR it was the same one.
