MGB Fitting a new top to a 74 MGB- how tight is too tight?

Got our Mohair top for the 72 from Prestige in the UK, made to order. PJ

:iagree: Been fitting Robbins tops to LBC's for decades. Best bang for the buck.
 
Well, as much as a Robbins may be the best, it's gonna hafta wait til next time, whenever that may be. Gotta work with what I have right now. I'll call the trim shop on my break and see what they can do.

Edit: Geeeez... The more well-known trim shop in town said this would likely be $500-700, and that's supplying my own top and hardware. Sound about right? I'm calling other places...

I think that's a bit healthy. If the hood fits to begin with, should only be a few hours work including laying the hood in the sun.
