Finally got almost totally moved into the new house. Can't really hear the main road even though it is right below the front porch( close enough that my buddies helping me move were debating whether they could pee off the porch and hit traffic, I have strange friends). Got around to opening up the garage and found that the dpo had left it full of garbage and junk. Spent all last weekend cleaning it out and sweeping up nails and other bits. Ended up with a nice looking garage bay with a hard packed dirt floor. So I put tools and my lawn mower in on the right side and backed in my Impala PPV keeping it towards the left. The PPV requires some explaining... It started life as a base model Impala and weighed about 3800 pounds. I converted it to PPV specs so it now is a little over 4000 pounds.

CRACK!

Next thing I know I'm leaning to my left with the nose of the car sticking up in the air! After climbing out the passenger side, I was shocked to discover that under the dirt floor was a cement floor with a planked over pit in the center. Was relieved to not have any damage on the car once the roll-back tow truck pulled it out.

What in the world possessed these people to cover that up with dirt?

PPV?? You should have taken all of the garbage & junk
to the dpo's new place.

I bet somewhere along the lines someone was told to get rid of the pit or be fined. They really didn't want to fill it in, so they camouflaged it.

PPV = Pedal-Powered Vehicle ?

Sounds like the pre-settlement walkthru we go thru here isn't part of the package up where you are. Down here it would have been clean or no settlement. FWIW. In the meantime, you have a perfect receptacle for the Spit's oil leaks. :devilgrin:

Oil leak? What oil leak?

ohhhh.... You mean that oil there?

That is a genuine oil fountain, not a leak!

Dirt floor? Friends peeing off porch on traffic?

Where exactly in south Mississippi did you move? :laugh:
