First Vixen now at Restoration Shop

The first Vixen (VX117) made has been moved from the Annex at the High Speed Triumph Research Laboratory to a restoration Shop.

The Vixen's owner has chosen Joe MacInnes' Chris' Restorations to do the work. The frame has rust issues.

This car, like other early Vixens, has an MGB engine.

Thanks for posting this John. I hope we can look forward to updates on the progress.

Would be a great edition to the "British Invade Gettysburg" show. Would look good between the 2500M's.....

Indeed it would (will). Sadely, my good friend John (Twosheds) who made the inital post has passed on. See Basil's announcements for further info. The car had occupied one of his 2 sheds for last few years. I do know the owner and will ask him to update me on the progress of the restoration so that I may pass it along.

Ed,
So sorry to hear that. Reinforces, how precious our time together w/ good friends is.

Spoke with the owner at Hunt Country Classic last weekend and Joe had promised to start the car by the 21st of Oct. Owner is getting anxious to see some progress.
